Our Story

The name is Bland, but the work is Grand!

Jay Bland founded the business over 20 years ago after returning home from the Navy. After years of happy clients, Jay now shares ownership of the company with his son Jeff.
Jay and Jeff proudly serve Cobb and Cherokee county in helping their clients' dream homes become a reality.

Meet the Crew

Jay started the company as a part-time business in 1996, pressure washing when he discovered his love for making other people's homes beautiful. Jay is a jack of all trades and his favorite thing to do on a job is tile work. In his free time, Jay enjoys working on his Jeep, hunting, and antiquing. He is also an avid fisherman and bird watcher.

Jeff began working with his father just over 6 years ago. Since then he has helped Jay run the business and help JB's General Contracting grow as a company. Jeff's favorite project to work on is bathrooms, but he, like his father, is a jack of all trades. In Jeff's free time he enjoys being out in nature, renovating his own home, disc golf, and spending time with his family.

Jenna started working with the company in 2021. She works behind the scenes making sure the jobs run as smoothly as possible! She manages the office, assists clients in designing and purchasing materials, and occasionally helps out on-site as needed. In her free time, she enjoys crafting, playing softball, being outdoors, and spending time with her family.

Will began working with JB's in the winter of 2022. He went from never working on a construction site to doing tile on his own. Will enjoys spending time with his friends, family, and girlfriend and on the weekends you can find him LARPing.
